PRODUCTION IN SABRO

The sawmill in Sabro is designed exclusively for cutting short timber from the forests. This includes short timber for producing packaging and construction items. When the logging machines harvest the wood, it is cut to the lengths agreed with the sawmill. The wood is transported to the sawmill by truck, where it is sorted on the raw wood facility based on the individual log’s top diameter.

In the sawmill itself, series of logs with the same sizes are cut on the two saw lines. This process produces the same finished product.

The finished product is sorted, cut, and automatically stacked into packages at the sorting facility. The finished packages of wood will usually be subsequently dried or heat-treated in one of our eight drying kilns. A significant portion of the wood is then regularised on our automatic regularisation line.

The products are sold both in the Danish market and in export markets in Europe.

PRODUCTS FROM SABRO

The products produced in Sabro are primarily dried and regularised wood, such as rafters and battens. However, we also produce dried and also regualised products to specific dimensions or cut to fixed dimensions, depending on the customer’s preferences. In addition, various packaging products in the form of boards, planks, and timber are produced, tailored to the individual customer’s preferences regarding dimensions, length, processing and possibly heat treatment.
