Production at Rold Skov Savværk A/S
Rold Skov Savværk A/S consists of two sawmill units located in Sabro and Arden. The sawmill units are built differently from each other and therefore they produce different products. Because of that, we are capable of offering a wide range of products within construction timber, cladding boards, packaging timber etc. to our customers.
The story of Rold Skov Savværk A/S
Since the latter half of the 19th century, Lindenborg Gods A/S has operated its own sawmill to ensure the utilization of timber from the associated forests
Initially, the sawmill primarily processed beechwood for butter tubs and produced wooden shoe soles. In the first half of the 20th century, the company evolved and started processing softwood from the forests for construction purposes.
In 1955, the sawmill was transformed into Rold Skov Savværk A/S, with the Count of Lindenborg Gods as the sole shareholder.
