PRODUCTION IN ARDEN
The sawmill in Arden is constructed as a traditional Danish long timber sawmill and is today the largest and most significant facility of this type in Denmark. A long timber sawmill is unique in that it processes trees from the forest in their full length.
At the sawmill, each tree is automatically measured, allowing the shape of the trunk to be identified. In a computer containing the current production orders, the utilization of each tree is optimized. The computer suggests how the entire tree should be cut, and the tree is subsequently cut into the indicated lengths. In the sawmill itself, individual saws automatically adjust to the measurements required for each log.
Afterward, when the finished timber exits the sawmill, it is packaged for the specific order it is intended for. In some cases, it may be treated with preservatives before being loaded onto trucks for delivery to customers.
Production in Arden is characterized by its very rapid production process, which is tailored to meet the specific requirements of individual customers.
PRODUCTS FROM ARDEN
The highly flexible design of the sawmill makes it possible to efficiently cut nearly all dimensions of timber, ranging from 75×75 mm to 300×300 mm, and lengths from 2.4 m to 11.50 m. The timber is typically delivered as green construction timber but can also be further processed through treatments like preservatives and potential drying.
The products are primarily sold to the Danish and German markets.
