Rold Skov Savværk has been certified according to DS/EN 14081-1:2007 as of June 26, 2009: Timber structures – Strength-graded structural timber with rectangular cross-section.
You can view and download the certificates here: Arden and Sabro.
This means that all requirements according to the above standard have been met in the production of softwood sorted as battens, boards, planks and sawn timber based on INSTA 142 for the strength classes C14 (T0), C18 (T1), C24 (T2), and C30 (T3).
Rold Skov Savværk labels these products accordingly when the strength class is C18 and higher on the individual item, on the package, and on accompanying documents with the CE logo. An exception to this is in the case of specific orders, where we only label at the package level and on accompanying documents.
From January 1, 2012, structural timber and roof battens must be marked in accordance with EN 14081-1 2005 + A1:2011. This supplement (A1:2011) allows for non-visually graded wood to be individually marked.
There will still be a requirement for roof battens to be individually marked in accordance with the latest industry agreement on the quality and use of roof battens.
